Position Overview We are seeking lateral partners with books of business in one or more of the following practice areas: Employment Law Criminal Defense General Civil Litigation Transactional This opportunity is ideal for partners who want to grow their practice, handle ongoing matters and litigation, mentor young associates and work with firm leadership to transition the firm to the next generation of ownership. Responsibilities Manage client matters independently from intake through resolution Handle litigation matters, including court appearances, pleadings, motions, discovery, and negotiations Develop and maintain strong client relationships Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice areas Contribute to business development and practice growth initiatives Provide strategic legal counsel and advocacy for clients Mentor Associate Attorneys Actively participate in firm leadership, including growth strategies, market development opportunities, succession planning, etc. Qualifications Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia; Washington D.C. and Maryland accepted as well Strong litigation, negotiation, and client communication skills A team mindset, with strong leadership and mentorship skills Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in long-term firm leadership Ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining high-quality client service
