Job Description

Job Summary Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join my rual Maine law firm. The firm currently offers estate planning, real estate transactions, and LLC/corporation formations/maintenance. The ideal candidate will have interest in pursuing an area of law that I do not currently practice (ie. Family Law, Litigation, Criminal Law, Tax Law, etc.). This position could also be ideal for those looking to try out different areas of practice to find what suits them best. The start date can be flexible, with preference given to those who can join by August, 2026. However, anyone who will be sitting for the Bar in July of 2026 is welcome to apply. This is an in-person position and you would be expected to be in the office three-four days per week. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and contracts Assist in negotiations and settlements for family law cases, ensuring the best interests of clients are represented. Manage case files and maintain organized documentation for all legal matters handled. Provide legal administrative support as needed to ensure smooth operation within the firm. Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar association is required. Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
