JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Legal Analyst at ITC, you will provide legal analysis services to attorneys in the form of legal research, drafting of legal pleadings, agreements and assistance with discovery proceedings and other similar tasks. Conducts legal research and analysis of statutes, case law, agency orders, and other related matters, exercising discretion and independent judgment. Reviews proposed contracts and advises on the benefits and risks found in same; proposes alternative terms and conditions. Drafts various contracts starting from established templates, such as engineering, procurement and construction agreements, purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, master services agreements, bills of sale, joint use agreements, letters of credit, various utility agreements and other commercial contracts. Works closely with attorneys to revise and complete same. Coordinates contract closings and operational procedures with attorneys and internal and external stakeholders. Summarizes deposition testimony and drafts memoranda, and correspondence, demonstrating advanced knowledge and judgment. Takes notes for various project meetings, witness preparation meetings and strategy sessions, supporting high-level decision-making. Assists attorneys with case and matter preparation, including the drafting of agreements, filings, pleadings, comments, or other submissions to legal tribunals, courts of law, regulatory bodies, or other organizations, requiring specialized knowledge and judgment. Monitors various dockets and work schedules to keep legal department informed of schedules, ensuring compliance and efficient operations. Manages discovery projects for process completion, quality control and cost efficiency, including coordinating the collection and analysis of materials for discovery responses and drafting preliminary responses, demonstrating advanced organizational and analytical skills. Performs other job-related duties and special projects, as required.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Ability to effectively conduct research related to performance of job duties. Possess sound analytical problem-solving and documentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and individuals inside and outside the Company. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to handle multiple projects with conflicting priorities. Ability to effectively utilize Westlaw, Microsoft Office, NetDocuments and similar programs. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
