Salary is negotiable. We are a dedicated boutique law firm in Saginaw, MI, seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our growing team. The position is ideal for a recent law school graduate, a 3L preparing for the upcoming bar exam, or an early-career attorney eager to gain immediate hands-on experience in the field of Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, and Personal Injury law. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to our clients while maintaining the highest ethical standards. This position is in a highly collaborative, mentorship-driven environment where you will not just look at case files, but actively manage them, advise clients, and learn how to build a successful litigation practice. Key Responsibilities Candidate will gain direct exposure to client interaction, depositions, brief writing, and hearings. Represent our client in Workers' Compensation administrative hearings before Magistrate Judges, Social Security Disability throughout the administrative process and at hearings before Administrative Law Judges, and at all levels of Personal Injury cases Conduct client consultations, advise individuals on their legal rights, maintain proactive communication throughout the life of their case, and collaborate with senior attorneys on cases. Maintain organized, accurate case files within our practice management system and collaborate closely with senior counsel on litigation strategies. Stay updated and keep pace with evolving statutory updates and case law developments impacting Michigan Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, and liability claims. Requirements & Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the State Bar of Michigan (or currently awaiting bar exam results with a clear path to admission). Strong legal research skills and excellent writing and legal drafting capabilities
