Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic legal team as a Bankruptcy Paralegal, where your expertise will play a vital role in supporting complex bankruptcy cases and related legal proceedings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys, manage case documentation, and streamline legal processes within a fast-paced law office environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help ensure efficient case management and successful client outcomes. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all phases of bankruptcy filings, including chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases, ensuring compliance with federal and local court requirements Prepare and review legal documents such as petitions, schedules, proofs of claim, and motions using legal case management systems like PCLaw and iManage Conduct thorough legal research on bankruptcy laws, UCC law, and relevant regulations to support case strategy Manage document review processes, organize case files, and ensure accurate data entry within document management systems Coordinate communication with clients, creditors, courts, and other stakeholders through professional phone etiquette and email correspondence Support litigation activities by assisting with discovery requests, document review, and trial preparation when necessary Maintain organized records of all case activities, filings, and correspondence to ensure seamless workflow and compliance The job duties include: Dependability and availability during all scheduled work periods. Highly responsive to messages and calls from other team members. Answering phones. Must have a positive disposition and the ability to communicate well over the phone and in person. Maintaining Attorney and Staff office calendar and trial calendar
Document Production:
must have an attention to detail Time keeping and entering expenses E-filing and notification Requirements Proven paralegal experience with a focus on bankruptcy law or related legal fields such as estate planning or litigation Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, UCC law, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and legal research tools Proficiency in legal administrative software Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents, proofreading materials, and transcribing recordings accurately Experience supporting attorneys with project management tasks across various practice areas such as family law or landlord-tenant law is a plus Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience in a law office setting Ability to perform detailed document review, research tasks, and administrative functions while maintaining high levels of accuracy Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional legal support in bankruptcy cases.
