In this role, you will champion the rights of clients facing criminal charges, providing vigorous defense and strategic counsel throughout all phases of criminal proceedings. Your expertise will help ensure justice is served while safeguarding clients' legal rights. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, utilizing your comprehensive legal knowledge and advocacy skills to make a meaningful impact in the community. Duties Represent clients in criminal cases, including arraignments, hearings, trials, and plea negotiations Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to build strong defense strategies Draft legal documents, motions, and pleadings with precision and clarity Investigate case facts by interviewing witnesses, reviewing evidence, and consulting with experts when necessary Negotiate plea agreements and alternative sentencing options to achieve favorable outcomes for clients Stay current on developments in criminal law, procedural rules, and relevant regulations Collaborate with investigators, paralegals, and other legal professionals to prepare cases effectively Willingness to travel Skills Extensive knowledge of criminal law procedures and defense Strong negotiation skills to advocate effectively for clients' interests Excellent legal drafting and writing skills for motions, briefs, and reports Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently within a fast-paced environment 3 years of criminal defense or prosecutorial experience Join us in making a difference by defending justice!
