Personal Injury Litigation & Pre-Litigation Location:
Chesterfield, MO Job Type:
Full-Time Position Overview The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury claims and be licensed to practice law in Missouri. We are looking for an attorney with strong litigation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine commitment to helping injured clients. This position offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution while working closely with clients and supporting staff. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement or trial Handle both litigation and pre-litigation personal injury claims Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel Litigate cases that cannot be resolved through pre-suit negotiations Conduct client consultations and assist with new client intake Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy Draft and review demand packages, pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences Coordinate with medical providers and negotiate medical liens Work collaboratively with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active Missouri law license in good standing Personal injury experience preferred Litigation experience preferred Strong legal writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively Strong attention to detail and commitment to client service Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to advocate for injury victims Practice Areas The position will primarily involve: Motor vehicle accident claims Wrongful death cases Workers' compensation claims Premises liability claims Other personal injury matters Benefits Competitive compensation package Performance-based bonus opportunities Health insurance benefits Paid time off and holidays Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment #C123
