Position Details:

This particular role will focus on supporting Mercy's employment and litigation support needs, including support for employment and non-malpractice litigation.

Skills desired include the following:

Employment Law Expertise:

Advises leaders on federal and state employment and labor laws, workforce policies, and employee relations, including hiring, discipline, and terminations.

Employment Litigation:

Manages and defends employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, wage/hour, retaliation, and labor disputes.

Non-Malpractice Litigation:

Provides guidance on corporate and operational litigation matters, including contract disputes, regulatory enforcement, and general liability claims.

Litigation Strategy and Risk Management:

Develops pre-litigation strategies, manages outside counsel, and oversees settlements, discovery, and trial preparation.

Insurance and Claims Management:

Coordinates with risk management on insurance coverage, reporting, and claims resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
