We are searching for a dedicated and qualified underwriter to leave no stone unturned throughout our application process. The ideal candidate will ensure that approved loans align with our business goals and that all regulatory requirements are met. Individuals employed as an underwriter require keen analytical and mathematical skills. As the job deals with utilizing personal information to assess potential clients, personal integrity is essential. Responsibilities for Underwriter Review, analyze, accept, and decline casualty risks of insuring Participate in continuing education courses to remain knowledgeable and competitive in the industry Use professional techniques and strategies to calculate the risk associated with client policies Complete assignments within established timeframes and accurately forecast risk. Participate in audits and/or underwriting meetings as required Build and maintain quality relationships with key producers while simultaneously monitoring the entire appointed producer base for profitability and production Qualifications for Underwriter Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar admission. Minimum 2 years in real estate or related field Strong customer service, presentation, and interpersonal Excellent oral and written communication Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary software Experience working with private and sensitive personal information Must be a team player that enjoys a flexible and spontaneous business environment with a desire to succeed highly organized, multi-tasks, skilled at creating risk assessment reports, and comfortable working on multiple projects at once.
