Mississippi , Oxford Job Description Workers' Compensation Attorney Oxford, Mississippi Established Multi-State Defense Firm | 1950 Billables | 3-8+ Years Experience Why This Role Is Worth a Look 1950 annual billable requirement Established defense firm with a multi-state footprint Consistent, stable workers' compensation workflow Strong support staff and litigation infrastructure Long-term growth opportunity If you're currently handling high-volume comp files and want a firm with structure, resources, and stability — this is a smart move. The Practice You'll represent employers, carriers, and third-party administrators in workers' compensation matters from inception through resolution, including: Initial claim evaluation and strategy Managing discovery and medical records Depositions of claimants, physicians, and vocational experts Motion practice Settlement negotiations Hearings before administrative judges This is a hands-on litigation role — not just file monitoring. What They're Looking For 3-8+ years of workers' compensation defense experience Ability to independently manage a full caseload Strong organizational and client communication skills Mississippi Bar admission Multi-state comp experience is a plus but not required. The Environment Professional but down-to-earth culture Collaborative team structure Clear expectations and consistent workflow Support staff to help manage volume efficiently Opportunity to grow within a larger regional/national platform This role is ideal for someone who: Is billing 1850-2100 hours currently Wants long-term stability Enjoys the strategy behind comp defense Wants to build a sustainable practice in Oxford EOE.
