Job Description
AttorneyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a licensed, client-focused Attorney to provide legal counsel, manage cases, and represent clients in court and alternative dispute resolution. The Attorney will handle legal research, draft pleadings and agreements, negotiate on behalf of clients, and advocate for favorable outcomes. Candidates with family law and litigation experience and strong contract negotiation and client advocacy skills are encouraged to apply.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide clear, strategic legal advice and counsel to clients across civil matters, with emphasis on family law and litigation when applicable.
Conduct factual and legal research, analyze case law and statutes, and develop case strategy and legal memoranda.
Draft, file, and manage pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, and settlement documents with attention to detail and procedural deadlines.
Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials; prepare witnesses and exhibits.
Negotiate settlements and contracts on behalf of clients, protecting client interests while pursuing efficient resolutions.
Advocate passionately for clients, explaining options and risks, and maintaining client-centered communication throughout the engagement.
Manage caseloads, maintain accurate case files and records, meet deadlines, and track time and billing in firm systems.
Collaborate with colleagues, paralegals, and outside counsel; mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and client retention efforts.
Ensure compliance with ethical obligations, court rules, and firm policies at all times.
QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Experience as an Family Law AttorneyExcellent client advocacy, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to explain complex legal concepts in clear terms.
