Job Description:
Corporate Associate Charlotte, North Carolina $160,000 - $300,000 DOE A leading regional law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Corporate Practice Group in Charlotte. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated transactional matters in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with significant client exposure and hands-on responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Assist with mergers and acquisitions transactions from due diligence through closing Conduct due diligence reviews and summarize findings for clients and deal teams Manage disclosure schedules and closing documentation for M&A transactions Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including supply, purchase, service, and other business contracts Support public and privately held companies on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters Provide practical, business-focused counsel to clients Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on complex transactions Maintain direct client contact and assist with transaction management throughout the deal lifecycle
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school Admission to the North Carolina Bar (or ability to obtain admission) 1-3 years of corporate transactional experience Meaningful experience with mergers and acquisitions preferred Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements Strong analytical, writing, communication, and organizational skills Ability to quickly understand business concepts and client objectives Desire to learn and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
