We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an In-House Attorney (Corporate Counsel). The role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure adherence to legal standards, mitigate risks, and foster a culture of compliance within our organization. As a In-House Attorney, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company adheres to legal standards and in supporting the Chief Financial Officer in various legal and compliance matters. You will be responsible for assisting in legal research, contract management, compliance monitoring, and providing administrative support to the CFO.

RESPONSIBILITIES JOB FUNCTIONS
 (Job functions include but are not limited to the following) Provide administrative support to the CFO in legal and compliance matters, alongside our external lawyers. Assist in legal research, including case law, statutes, and regulations, to support the legal and compliance functions of the company. Support the management of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, agreements, and legal documents. Assist in compliance monitoring and reporting, ensuring that the company adheres to relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that legal and compliance requirements are integrated into business processes and operations. Help prepare and maintain corporate governance documents, including board meeting materials, resolutions, and corporate filings. Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal and compliance policies and procedures. Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company and assist in implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance. Other duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE DEMANDS
Office Standard:
8-hour M-F assignment; however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours. Occasional Lifting up 20 pounds. Working in office and plant manufacturing environment. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
Experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or compliance specialist, preferably in a corporate environment is advantageous, but recently graduated candidates will also be considered. Strong understanding of legal and compliance principles, including contract management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in legal research and analysis. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accountability and proactive follow -up.
SKILLS, EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field. A paralegal certification is a plus. Legal knowledge and an understanding of regulatory compliance. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or work well independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong investigative and reporting capabilities. Ability to make ethical, informed decisions while assessing organizational risk.
