Job Description

Civil Litigation Attorney An established and respected law firm with multiple locations across North and South Carolina is looking for a NC licensed civil litigation associate attorney to join their Wilmington office. Job Description The civil litigation position offers a wide range of challenging litigation work, manages various phases of litigation for assigned cases, all phases of discovery, appears before state and federal courts, performs legal research, drafts pleadings, motions and briefs, conducts depositions, develops facts, makes legal arguments, reports case updates to managing attorney and clients in defense of our clients. This position will develop strategies for litigated matters, including commercial, regulatory, product liability, premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, personal injury, construction defect, professional liability, and insurance-coverage matters. Qualifications Must be currently licensed in North Carolina. Experience in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense, professional liability defense, and/or construction defect litigation preferred but not required. Trial and deposition experience is a plus. Strong writers with deposition and mediation experience preferred. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills, have strong research, writing and verbal communication skills and be able to work independently. Prefer candidates that are organized and self-motivated.
