Sand Law is a multi-state firm practicing in North Dakota and Minnesota. We provide representation to Criminal Defense and Personal Injury clients. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting partners and managing attorneys to manage litigation matters and will develop their own litigation practice. This position is ideal for someone seeking to develop and grow in their law career. This position will reside in the following locations: Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot & Williston. Responsibilities Advocate zealously for our clients. Represent clients in a variety of court settings. Present evidence to a judge and/or jury should the case go to trial. Negotiate settlements. Manage the preparation of court documents (i.e. legal briefs and appeals). Conduct legal research and analyze cases to determine the best path and devise an effective strategy to represent our clients. Interpret laws and advise clients about their legal rights and options. Attend and lead meetings, hearings, conference calls, etc. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Juris doctor law degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school. Licensed or able to become licensed in the State of North Dakota. Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation skills. An enthusiasm for developing creative solutions to problems.
