Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as an advisor to the Company, performs legal research, and provides legal oversight and support to executives and other administrative personnel.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assesses and minimizes legal risks associated with Company activities by consulting with Company personnel to determine overall best course of action for the Company Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulatory authorities while liaising with auditors, attorneys, tax advisors, and stakeholders on board governance issues Prepares, reviews, and assists in the negotiation of transportation agreements, vendor agreement, and internal policies Provides counsel and supports the Company regarding employment law matters, including but not limited to Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and employee hiring and separations Assists and advises in the investigation of personnel matters Handle legal disputes and provide oversight of and support to outside counsel retained to represent the Company Establishes and maintains positive working relationships Manages multiple priorities and deadlines Receives and carries out instructions Maintains regular and predictable attendance Performs other duties as assigned Preferred Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates effective leadership Solves problems and makes decisions independently and proactively Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree; Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school; minimum of two years of experience in general practice with emphasis on corporate and transactional law; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and a desk working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times Ability to travel as needed Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm
