Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Family Law Attorney to join a nonprofit organization in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. In this role, you will provide crucial legal advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, making a meaningful impact in their lives and the community. This position offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive team and contribute to the development of the organization's legal programs. Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in cases involving protection orders, family law matters, and housing-related issues.
  • Collaborate with community advocates and partners to provide comprehensive support to survivors.
  • Conduct outreach efforts to enhance legal protections and awareness for survivors.
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents to effectively advocate for clients.
  • Engage in discovery processes and manage civil litigation as necessary.
  • Assist in shaping the organization's legal program while working closely with a Supervising Attorney or mentor.
  • Provide guidance and legal expertise to ensure the well-being of clients and the success of their cases.
  • Participate in development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain a commitment to the organization's mission of supporting survivors and fostering community impact.
