Job Description
The Law Office of Molly McCreery, PLLC is seeking a dedicated and motivated attorney to join our growing family law practice. In this role, you will represent clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, parenting disputes, child support, alimony, restraining orders, and post-divorce litigation. We are open to candidates with prior family law experience, recent law school graduates, and attorneys looking to transition into family law from another practice area. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment. For the right candidate, the firm is willing to pay costs associated with New Hampshire and/or Massachusetts Bar admission. This position offers hands-on litigation experience, mentorship, significant client interaction, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives during difficult transitions. Duties Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, and contempt proceedings Draft and review pleadings, motions, agreements, discovery requests, and other legal documents Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research platforms Negotiate settlements and assist clients in resolving disputes efficiently and effectively Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, case management conferences, and trials Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy, updates, and court procedures Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements Collaborate with support staff and contribute to a positive team environment Qualifications JD degree from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire, or eligible for admission (Firm is willing to pay costs associated with New Hampshire and/or Massachusetts Bar admission for the right candidate.) Strong writing, research, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively Courtroom experience is preferred but not required Family law experience is preferred but not required Newly admitted attorneys and candidates transitioning into family law are encouraged to apply We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping clients navigate challenging family matters with professionalism, empathy, and strong advocacy.
