About the
Role:
INSURANCE DEFENSE ATTORNEY FLANAGAN, BARONE & O'BRIEN, LLC
("FBO") is a successful, growing firm which embraces diversity in seeking to build a strong team of professionals. FBO is currently seeking a Litigation Insurance Defense Attorney with 5-7 years of trial experience. The position provides a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work both independently and as part of our strong litigation team.Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of insurance defense matters (auto, general liability, construction, products liability and property damage matters) up to and through trial, including discovery, court appearances, depositions/examinations under oath, expert issues, and client management Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses to prepare for and complete trial testimony Drafting pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery, required client reports Render opinions on liability, damages and case value Appear before courts and arbitrators/mediatorsQualifications:
JD from an accredited law school Admitted to NJ Bar Must have completed at least five (5) civil trials 5-7 years previous experience in litigation with one or two first bench trials Experience with insurance defense, general liability and construction litigation Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Exceptional writing and communication skills Computer proficiency Ability to maintain/enter billable time Ability to prioritize assignments and case load with trial schedule Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Candidate must have a flexible schedule and demonstrate a commitment to providing quality client service and adherence to work completion deadlines. Candidate must be a member in good standing with the New Jersey Bar and be able to travel as required for trials, hearings, depositions, etc. FBO offers a comprehensive benefits package and is an equal opportunity employer.
