REMOTE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation/Bankruptcy Attorney to join our legal team on a REMOTE (local candidates) capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial debt recovery, creditors' rights, and bankruptcy litigation. This role requires a results-driven professional with excellent negotiation skills, legal expertise, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in commercial collection matters, including litigation Handle bankruptcy proceedings, including filing motions, adversary proceedings, and creditor representation. Advise clients on legal strategies for debt recovery, asset protection, and risk mitigation. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements. Attend court hearings, mediations, and negotiations on behalf of clients. Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in bankruptcy and collections law. Work closely with clients, creditors, and financial institutions to develop effective legal solutions. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to debt collection and bankruptcy. Juris Doctor degree and active license to practice law. Dual bar admission in NY and NJ jurisdictions is preferred. At least 2 years of experience handling commercial litigation, bankruptcy matters, or closely related legal work. Ability to manage multiple active files while maintaining strong attention to deadlines and procedural requirements. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate confidently and represent clients professionally. Knowledge of creditor rights, debt recovery processes, and bankruptcy procedures.
