Job Description

The Associate Counsel - Contracts & Regulatory Compliance provides legal advice and support to NJM's Contract Management and Regulatory Compliance teams, as well as NJM's Corporate and General Counsel. The official NJM job title is Attorney, Law & Regulation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review of third party and vendor agreements Provide legal advice to business units on contract related issues and collaborate with Vendor Management in the negotiation and execution of contracts Provide regulatory guidance to stakeholders enterprise-wide to ensure legal compliance Support internal business unit initiatives and assist with maintaining and improving internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance Assist Law and Regulation management with regulatory, rate and form filings
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate degree required License to practice law in the state of New Jersey is required 0-5 years of legal and/or property casualty insurance experience Critical thinking skills and business judgment Ability to work independently on projects Strong communication skills Ability to make decisions, propose solutions, and solve problems Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
Property and casualty insurance experience Experience handling contracts and/or regulatory matters Admitted to practice law in
New York or Pennsylvania Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range:
$101,415-$127,862 Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Pay:
$101,415.00 - $127,862.00 per year
