Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estates & Trusts / Business Attorney to join our legal team in a full-time capacity at our Livingston, NJ. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive legal counsel across a broad spectrum of practice areas, including estate planning, business law, and various specialized legal fields. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach, exceptional research and drafting skills, and a passion for delivering clear, strategic legal solutions that support our clients' goals. Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives to ensure clarity and compliance with applicable laws. Provide legal advice on business formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and contractual negotiations for diverse clients. Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas including securities law, tribal law & regulations, and environmental law. Manage litigation matters related to estate disputes, family law issues, landlord-tenant conflicts, personal injury claims, workers' compensation cases, and other civil litigation. Assist clients with compliance and regulatory issues involving immigration law, patent law, land use regulations, and tribal sovereignty considerations. Prepare detailed legal drafts for court filings, contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with precision and clarity. Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases requiring negotiation skills and strategic planning to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in estate planning and trust administration is essential; familiarity with business law is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation procedures, patent law. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with Law office management software is preferred. Excellent writing skills coupled with the ability to draft clear legal documents efficiently. Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of resolving complex legal issues effectively. Legal administrative experience that ensures organized case management and adherence to deadlines.
