RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Summer Legal Intern to join our General Counsel s Office for a full-time internship from mid-June through early August. The intern will gain hands-on experience in health care law and shadow a senior attorney. The intern will also have the unique opportunity to attend Legal Department meetings with the System s Deputy General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer, providing valuable exposure to legal strategy and decision-making at the executive level.Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with legal research, writing, and analysis on a broad range of health care legal issues, including regulatory compliance, risk management, contracts, and employment matters Shadow and support multiple senior attorneys on active legal matters Review and help draft NDAs, contracts, policies, and other legal documents Attend and observe Legal Department meetings with senior leadership, including the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer Participate in special projects and presentations as assignedQualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school and have completed at least one year of study - 1L or higher Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated interest in health law, health care compliance, or related areas is preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentInternship Details:
