Type:
full-time
Job Description:
This opportunity is designed for a creditor side restructuring partner seeking a stronger platform, deeper client relationships, and the ability to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of an active and highly respected practice. Our client, a well regarded New York law firm, represents financial institutions, private credit lenders, investors, and other stakeholders across a broad range of workouts, restructurings, bankruptcy proceedings, and distressed situations. Working alongside experienced restructuring professionals, you will serve as a strategic advisor to lenders and investors on sophisticated matters involving Chapter 11 proceedings, complex workouts, enforcement actions, distressed transactions, and related litigation. This is a highly visible, client facing role offering significant autonomy, direct access to decision makers, and the opportunity to help shape the future direction of an established practice. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record advising creditors and lenders in complex restructuring matters, sound business judgment, and the ability to lead matters from strategy through execution. The firm is open to both established partners seeking a broader platform for existing client relationships and high performing partners or counsel looking to expand their market presence within a collaborative and growth oriented environment. Compensation includes a base salary of $350,000 to $420,000, plus bonus and additional upside tied to overall contributions, client development, and matter origination, along with a comprehensive benefits package. While a portable book of business is welcomed, it is not required. The focus is on adding a lawyer who can make an immediate impact, deepen key client relationships, and grow alongside a highly active creditor side practice with substantial opportunity for long term success. J. Sheppard Associates represents Lateral Partners, Rising Associates and Top Law Firms.
