Description:

We are hiring a licensed New Mexico attorney to support ongoing legal work related to real estate and property law. This is a great opportunity for a newly licensed attorney looking to gain hands-on courtroom experience in eviction cases and legal document preparation. You will support a network of real estate-related businesses on a contract basis and report directly to the business owner. Court presence is required.

Responsibilities:

Handle eviction filings and court appearances Draft motions, notices, and other legal documents Support zoning/permitting inquiries and compliance reviews Review contracts, leases, and transactional documents Provide legal support across multiple affiliated companies

Requirements:

Licensed to practice law in the State of New Mexico Strong legal writing and organizational skills Courtroom-ready and capable of working independently Interest in real estate law, landlord-tenant matters, or housing policy Experience with nonprofit legal support is a plus but not required

Compensation:

Depending on experience Optional monthly retainer Flexible workload with potential for expansion Contractor position (1099)
