This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging litigation matters, develop your own professional style, and assume meaningful responsibility in a well-run and growing law practice. We are looking for an attorney who is competent, takes initiative, has good humor and the ability to get things done.
Responsibilities include:
Managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution; Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery; Conducting depositions and court appearances; Advising clients and participating in case strategy; Working collaboratively with attorneys and staff while maintaining ownership of assigned matters.
Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New Mexico; At least three years of civil litigation experience; Reside in or be willing to relocate to Las Cruces, New Mexico; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Organized, reliable, and generally have your personal and professional life in order; Spanish language proficiency is preferred, but not required.
