Clinicians are expected to maintain accurate documentation and support efficient patient care within the correctional healthcare framework. The state features regional natural attractions and scenic landscapes. Additional opportunities for outdoor exploration are available throughout the region. About the Clinician's Workday The physician associate will provide family medicine services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting, managing approximately 12 patients per day at 24 hours per week, with a preferred schedule of three 8-hour shifts or two 12-hour shifts as an alternative. Clinical responsibilities include delivering primary care services and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Required credentials include an active New Mexico license, DEA registration, and BLS certification; board certification is negotiable. Mandatory typing proficiency is required, and prior corrections experience is expected of the ideal candidate.
