JOB The Nevada State Public Defender, Winnemucca Office, is responsible for representing indigent clients in the Union Justice court and the Sixth Judicial District Court.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Nevada Bar Membership is required or candidates must be eligible to practice under the rural practice provision of the Nevada Supreme Court Rule 49.9.Preference may be given to candidates that are Cat A certified, self-motivated, possess conflict resolution skills, proficient in Microsoft 360 programs, Legal Case Management software systems, and is fluent in Spanish.

Experience in criminal defense law, strong written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, and organizational skills.
