Job Description

Established (60+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Environmental Law in Clarence, New YorkAn established firm based in Clarence, New York with over 60 years in practice is seeking a Associate Attorney with 5+ years to join their team onsite. This Associate Attorney will have experience with environmental regulatory compliance, remediation and contamination matters, insurance coverage disputes, and environmental litigation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in litigation and advisory matters.
Offer:
Salary range: $110,000-$140,000+, contingent on experienceYear-end bonus eligibilityMedical coverage beginning the first of the month following hireDental coverageVision coverageImmediate eligibility for 401(k) and profit sharing planFirm-arranged parking at downtown locationsFirm-paid long-term disability coverage
Qualifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar5+ years of experience handling environmental regulatory matters and remediation or contamination-related issuesExperience with environmental litigation and insurance coverage for environmental claims preferredStrong legal writing and analytical abilities with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formatsAbility to manage complex legal issues and provide strategic guidance to clientsDemonstrated client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Responsibilities:
Handle environmental regulatory compliance matters and advise clients on applicable laws and requirementsRepresent clients in environmental litigation and disputes related to contamination and remediation issuesAnalyze insurance coverage issues related to environmental claims and assist in recovery effortsDraft legal documents including briefs, motions, and client communicationsCollaborate with internal teams across environmental and insurance practice groups on complex mattersEngage directly with clients to provide legal counsel and strategic solutionsSupport large infrastructure project clients with regulatory and litigation needs
