Job Description
Overview We are seeking a recent law school graduate to join our transactional real estate practice as an Associate Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to develop expertise in private lending and lender-side real estate transactions . This role provides direct exposure to all phases of commercial private lending transactions from inception through closing. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of real estate transactions with lenders, borrower and seller attorneys, borrowers and sellers, brokers, and title companies Review title reports, surveys, entity documents and related due diligence materials Assist in the drafting and review of commercial loan documents Prepare closing documents and assist with closing logistics Manage multiple files and deadlines in a high-volume transactional environment Work collaboratively with other senior and associate attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in managing lender-side real estate transactions from inception through closing Qualifications Education & Admission Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Admission to the New York State Bar or pending admission Experience The following experience is a plus, but not required: Prior internship, clerkship, or coursework in: Commercial real estate law Transactional law Banking or finance Skills & Attributes Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to learn internal systems and transaction workflows Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is: Interested in building a career in private lending and real estate transactions Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to take ownership of their work A quick learner who thrives with hands-on training About the Firm Andelsman Law is a New York-based commercial and residential real estate law firm with a primary focus on the private lending industry.
