As attorneys for schools and libraries, we handle all general counsel matters, such as student suspensions, special education, general municipal matters, and construction matters; and we handle all labor counsel matters, such as collective bargaining, contract drafting, staff discipline, grievances and sexual harassment. The firm also has a robust insurance defense practice and sits on various insurance panels that insure municipalities in cases ranging from personal injury lawsuits to civil rights claims. Volz & Vigliotta, PLLC seeks an Associate Attorney to work in all areas of the firm's practice.

Job Type:

Full-time. This position provides career building opportunities with mentoring from the senior partners.

Salary:

$85,000 - $105,000 or commensurate with experience

Requirements:

Juris Doctor from accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials Admission to the New York State Bar Ability to work independently or in a collaborative team Excellent legal research skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organization, problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills Strong interpersonal skills, team player Strong attention to detail Client service orientation

NYS Driver's License Experience:
