CLASSIFICATION:
EXEMPT/CONFIDENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience in the Senior Court Attorney to Court of Appeals title; or Equivalent legal experience.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK
Principal Court Attorneys to the Court of Appeals are responsible for the research and analysis of uniquely intricate, complex and sensitive legal issues and questions for the Court and perform other related duties. They serve in a confidential capacity and work with substantial independence from supervision in the Court of Appeals.
ASSIGNMENT
Duties of this position include but are not limited to: researching and analyzing complex legal issues presented in motions to the Court of Appeals; reviewing and analyzing appellate records and briefs; writing and editing confidential legal memoranda; preparing and editing confidential legal reports; and drafting confidential opinions.
