Construction/Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

The Woodbury, Long Island office of Kaufman Dolowich is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Construction/Commercial Litigation group . The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in construction business disputes between owners, general contractors and subcontractors, which concern breach of contract claims, delay claims, mechanic's lien claims, and bond claims. Our construction attorneys handle issues at all phases of a construction project, from contract negotiations and drafting to contract administration to dispute resolution. We help developers, project owners, construction managers, contractors and trade contractors limit exposure to liability and loss through effective construction administration. Responsibilities Assess information and documents provided by clients Prepare pleadings Perform research relating to case issues Participate in and oversee written discovery Take and defend depositions Prepare and argue motions, including summary judgment motions in both State and Federal Courts throughout New York Attend and defend and/or prosecute trials and other hearings Assist with contract review and preparation Qualifications 1+ years of commercial litigation with experience in construction disputes between owners, general contractors and subcontractors, which concern breach of contract claims, delay claims, mechanic's lien claims, and bond claims Experience in construction contract issues and review preferred. Base Salary Range:

$110,000 - $150,000 . Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate's experience, skills, and job-related qualifications.
