In this position, the Labor Relations Manager analyzes and interprets collective bargaining agreements and advises management and union officials in development, application, and interpretation of labor relations policies and practices. Represents management in labor contract negotiations to reconcile opposing claims and recommend concessions, or proposes adoptions of new procedures Analyzes collective bargaining agreements to interpret intent, spirit and terms of contract Compiles information on disagreement and determines points of issue, according to knowledge of labor business and government responsibilities under law Advises management and union officials on development, applications, and interpretation of company labor relations policies and practices Leads Grievance procedure including arbitrations and assists all levels of management on labor matters Arranges and schedules meetings between parties in labor disputes to investigate and resolve grievances Monitors implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions to ensure compliance to union labor contract terms Supervises work activities of employees involved in labor relations functions of organization Completes statistical reports on cases, findings and resolved issues Ability to effectively function in a fast paced, event driven, high volume and diverse environment Participate in Union Labor committees and conferences Qualifications BS Degree in Labor Relations, Business, or Industrial Engineering Policies and practices involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution, including strategic planning, resource techniques and production methods Laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules Human behavior performance, mental processes, psychological research methods and assessment and treatment of behavioral and effective disorders
