Salary Range:
$200,000 and DOE! ++ (Based on years of experience, portables, and technical degree)About the
Role:
Join a nationally recognized Intellectual Property team that sits at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and high-stakes law. We are seeking a mid- to senior-level IP Associate with a background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering to drive patent strategy for global innovators. This role offers a clear pathway for professional growth, providing opportunities to expand into licensing and high-level litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Innovation Partnership:
Interview inventors to translate complex technical breakthroughs into robust patent applications.
Global Prosecution:
Manage all stages of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including ex parte appeals.
Strategic Analysis:
Conduct validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate studies, and draft formal legal opinion letters.
Full-Spectrum IP Counsel:
Provide guidance on patent matters, including foundational licensing, trademark, and copyright issues.
Collaboration:
Partner with senior stakeholders and support staff to ensure seamless case management and client delivery.
Knowledge Leadership:
Stay ahead of evolving IP laws and contribute to the firm's internal technical knowledge base.
Qualifications:
Experience:
7 years of dedicated patent prosecution experience.
Education:
JD from an accredited law school and a technical background (BS or MS preferred).
