$70,000 - $75,000 upon experience

Kelly Sheets kfitch@wcgov.org Position Summary The Prosecutor's Office Investigator performs professional investigative work in support of criminal prosecutions and related legal proceedings. Responsibilities include conducting investigations, interviewing witnesses, assisting prosecutors with trial preparation, and coordinating with law enforcement agencies. Essential Functions Conduct criminal and administrative investigations as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney. Review law enforcement reports, evidence, recordings, and related case materials. Locate witnesses and assist in securing attendance for hearings and trials. Prepare detailed investigative reports and maintain organized case documentation. Assist prosecutors in trial preparation, including evidence review and exhibit organization. Serve subpoenas, court documents, and other legal process as authorized. Conduct background investigations and records checks. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive criminal justice information. Testify in court proceedings when required. Operate county vehicles safely and responsibly. Perform other duties as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney. Knowledge of investigative methods and criminal law. Strong interviewing and report-writing abilities. Qualifications Current Ohio Peace Officer certification. Must be in good standing with the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission Experience in felony investigations and courtroom testimony. Knowledge of Ohio criminal procedure and rules of evidence. Experience with digital evidence systems and investigative databases. Ability to pass criminal background investigation. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Ability to analyze evidence and investigative information. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and under deadlines. Ability to establish effective working relationships with prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, courts, and the public. Special Requirements Must successfully complete all required background checks. Must maintain valid driver's license throughout employment.

Must maintain all required certifications and qualifications. Must comply with office firearm and use-of-force policies. Must successfully complete periodic firearms qualifications.
