Job Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our long‑standing law firm in Newark, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a new or experienced attorney who wants direct client interaction, and meaningful mentorship in a supportive environment. Our firm values work-life balance as you develop your legal knowledge and skills. You'll work closely with experienced attorneys across a variety of practice areas while developing the skills needed for a successful legal career. This includes litigation, probate, estate planning and real estate.
Duties:
Assist with legal research, drafting, and case preparation. Support litigation, transactional, or general practice matters depending on firm needs. Draft motions, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents. Attend hearings, depositions, and client meetings with senior attorneys Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Experience:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active Ohio bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam Proven experience conducting legal research using LexisNexis. Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal drafts and memoranda. Interest in developing a broad legal skill set. Pay :
