Overview:
We are seeking a Litigation Attorney with with at least two (2) years of experience to join our team in Newark, Ohio. This role is ideal for an attorney who wants meaningful courtroom experience, direct client interaction, and the chance to grow within a respected community‑based firm. Responsibilities:
Handle a variety of civil litigation matters from initial pleadings through trial. Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis (Protege) to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations. Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, contracts, and settlement agreements. Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while maintaining professionalism and integrity. Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, explain legal options clearly, and develop effective strategies tailored to each case.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years experience in litigation (any type) is required. Strong research, writing, and courtroom skills. Excellent negotiation skills capable of facilitating settlements or favorable resolutions outside the courtroom when appropriate. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ohio Bar license (required)
Pay :
$75,000.00
