("GAC") has an immediate opening for an Associate Transactional Attorney to handle all aspects transactional law, including contracts, real estate, probate and estate administration, estate planning, trusts and formation and maintenance of business entities. Training will be provided with the expectation that the Associate Transactional Attorney will, as soon as practicable, be meeting with clients and providing transactional services. The Associate Transactional Attorney may also occasionally assist in certain aspects of litigation (usually litigation related to transactional work), but most of the Associate Transactional Attorney's work will be transactional. GAC has an office in Pauls Valley (located 35 miles south of Norman on I-35) and an office in Norman. GAC has probates pending in Garvin, McClain, Cleveland and Oklahoma Counties as well as numerous other counties in Oklahoma. The Associate Transactional Attorney is not required to live in Pauls Valley, although a candidate that is interested in relocating to Pauls Valley is preferred. Commuting to Pauls Valley from the Norman area is an easy drive (much easier and no longer than driving through heavy traffic to Oklahoma City). A large, elegant office will be provided. Compensation is negotiable, but will likely be based on a fixed base salary. GAC contributes 3% of the salary to the Associate Transactional Attorney's 401K account. GAC offers a yearly bonus. Other benefits may include health insurance. GAC is interested in hiring someone pending bar passage and will pay a lower salary while bar results are pending. The attorney salary will be increased upon passage. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who: is effective in communicating orally and in writing, desires to help clients obtain their goals promptly, always acts within the Rules of Professional Responsibility and the Standards of Professionalism adopted by the Oklahoma Bar Association, and quickly learns and uses technology. A finance, accounting or similar business undergraduate degree is preferred but not required. Third-year law students and graduates will be considered. The position is available immediately.
