Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of legal practice areas, including estate planning, family law, litigation, real property law, employment law, and criminal defense. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proactive approach to legal challenges. As an integral part of our firm, you will contribute to delivering exceptional legal services to our clients while gaining valuable experience across multiple disciplines within a collaborative and energetic environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and / or Westlaw to support case development and legal strategies across various practice areas Draft clear, precise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence Preparing for litigation by organizing case files, evidence, and witness statements Conduct hearings, bench trials and jury trials independently Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on estate planning, family law matters, criminal matters, real property disputes, and other legal questions Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients Maintain accurate records of case activities and ensure compliance with all legal administrative requirements Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in Oregon Some experience or familiarity with estate planning, family law, criminal law or related fields preferred Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and / or Westlaw platforms for comprehensive legal analysis Excellent writing skills demonstrated through drafting legal documents and correspondence Ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of clients in various legal contexts Prior experience in a law office setting with exposure to litigation preferred Knowledge of family law, criminal law, real property law, or estate planning is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Join us in making a meaningful impact through your legal expertise! Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
