Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Staff Attorney to join our legal team, committed to advancing the needs of our clients. We work primarily with union members of the Local 23 for the UCFW and we provide them and other clints with expert legal counsel across a diverse range of practice areas. In this vital role, you will leverage your extensive legal knowledge and research skills to support our mission, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while advocating effectively for our clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional negotiation abilities, and possess a passion for making a meaningful impact through legal excellence. Duties Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law. Conduct in-depth legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to inform case strategy and ensure adherence to current laws and precedents. Draft, review, and revise legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and memoranda with precision and clarity. Negotiate on behalf of clients in various legal matters to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professionalism and integrity. Manage multiple cases simultaneously by organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with clients and external stakeholders. Represent clients in court proceedings or negotiations when necessary, demonstrating strong advocacy skills. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in Pennsylvania. Experience practicing in areas such as estate planning, landlord-tenant law, family law, criminal law and/or probate law. Demonstrated proficiency with legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw. Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful dispute resolution. Familiarity with legal administrative processes and managing case files efficiently. Ability to conduct thorough legal research and interpret complex statutes and regulations accurately. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations. Pay:
