Job Description

Position Summary Kelso Law, LLC, seeks a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its Carlisle office. Kelso Law focuses its practice in the areas of municipal law, zoning and land use, real estate transactions, commercial transactions, business law, and estate planning and administration. The Associate Attorney will handle matters for clients in these areas of practice in both transactional and litigation settings. All levels of experience will be considered. Strong research, writing, and advocacy are required. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. The Associate Attorney will work with senior attorneys and staff in a team-oriented approach to further this collective goal. Kelso Law offers a competitive salary, bonus structure, and benefits. Key Responsibilities Under the supervision of a senior attorney, advise clients in the areas of municipal law, zoning and land use, real estate transactions, commercial transactions, business law, and estate planning and administration. Maintain client files and manage a high-volume workload while meeting deadlines. Conduct legal research and analysis. Draft pleadings, memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents. Prepare for and represent clients in hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings. Review and draft agreements, contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents. Handle all aspects of estate administration. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent time-management skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
