Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide vital support in family law cases, ensuring smooth case management and effective communication with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Your expertise will help facilitate the preparation of legal documents, manage case files, and assist with client interviews and research. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful family law cases while honing your legal skills in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence related to family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and support cases Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies Manage and organize case files Talk with clients to gather relevant information for ongoing cases while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and court filings for accuracy and completeness Coordinate court filings, schedule hearings, and track deadlines to ensure timely submissions Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and managing correspondence through legal document management systems Skills Proven experience as a paralegal with a strong background in family law practice Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with iManage and PCLaw is a plus Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities for accuracy Exceptional clerical experience including data entry, filing, document review, and administrative support within a law office setting Knowledge of document review processes and familiarity with contracts and legal case management systems Superior phone etiquette combined with organizational skills to coordinate appointments and communicate effectively with clients and team members Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while demonstrating high-level attention to detail Join us in providing exceptional support in family law cases! Pay:
$30,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
