The Opportunity We are currently seeking a motivated Attorney to join our Real Estate and Banking and Finance practice groups. This is an ideal role for an ambitious lawyer looking to build a career within a supportive, high-achieving environment.
Experience Level:
5+ years of experience.
Preferred Prior Experience:
Real Estate (residential and/or commercial), financing, tax assessment, zoning, bond and/or title experience.
Location:
Erie, PA. Key Responsibilities Represent clients in diverse transactional matters, including bond financing (taxable and tax exempt), public and project finance, real estate financing, structuring, negotiating and documenting commercial loans and other transactions, addressing property tax exemptions, appeals and assessments, assisting with real estate acquisition and development (including upset and judicial tax sales), and facilitating residential closings. Assist in the management and relationships with all residential and commercial sellers and purchasers, developers of subdivisions, condominiums and commercial plazas, and title insurance companies. Collaborate with junior associates and partners to develop specialized legal strategies. Utilize state-of-the-art legal tech to streamline matter management. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (or pending admission). Strong professional and academic record. Demonstrated interest in real estate and commercial lending. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
