Privacy Partner Anywhere | United States Direct Hire Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Privacy Partner to join its growing Technology & Intellectual Property practice. The firm has a strong existing pipeline of privacy and technology work, particularly involving software licensing agreements and the related data privacy and security implications, and is looking for an experienced attorney who can immediately support sophisticated client matters while also helping grow the practice long term. This opportunity is ideal for a senior attorney with significant years of experience advising on U.S. and international privacy compliance, cybersecurity, SaaS and cloud agreements, software and technology licensing, vendor and commercial contracts, and IP-related transactional matters. Candidates should bring an established practice and demonstrated business development capabilities, and the firm loves entrepreneurial attorneys interested in continuing to build and expand their client base within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. The role can sit in any of the firm's offices located in DE, MD, FL, KY, NJ, NY, NC, CO, VA, or DC and is a hybrid position. Responsibilities
Advise clients on U.S. and international data privacy and cybersecurity matters
Draft, review, and negotiate software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, vendor, and commercial technology agreements
Counsel clients on privacy compliance, data governance, and regulatory issues
Draft and revise privacy policies, data protection agreements, and data security policies
Support clients in responding to data security incidents and breach-related matters
Handle IP and technology aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions
Work on technology, consulting, marketing, reseller, distribution, and joint venture agreements
Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on complex business and regulatory matters
Participate in business development and contribute to the continued growth of the practice Qualifications
Significant years of experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and technology transactions
Strong background in software licensing and complex commercial agreements
Experience advising clients on privacy compliance and data protection matters
Demonstrated business development capabilities and an interest in practice growth Strong portable book of business and demonstrated client relationship management experience preferred
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Strong academic credentials and attention to detail
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Licensed and in good standing in the jurisdiction where they will be practicing Expected salary for this role is $400,000 - $500,000 commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors. #
