Associate Attorney Northfield, IL 60093 From $100,000 a year - Full-time From $100,000 a year - Full-time A small but growing small general practice firm is seeking a motivated attorney for a junior associate position. Ideal candidate will have 0-2 years' experience in litigation generally as well as one or more of the following areas: Civil/commercial Litigation Real Estate Family Law Probate Wills, Trusts and Estates Qualified candidates should also meet the following guidelines: Admitted to the Illinois Bar and the Northern District of Illinois (recent graduates taking the bar this year will also be considered) Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit - able to manage and handle his or her own files from start to finish Able to easily commute to north suburban Chicago Brief writing, discovery drafting and answering, taking depositions, and handling a case from beginning to end (or equivalent moot court/mock trial experience) a plus Excellent computer (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe PDF), drafting, online research, written grammar and communication skills Ability to comfortably communicate with clients Work in office preferred; some remote work possible This is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and be mentored by a top attorney with a very busy and diverse practice.
