Description:

Law Firm seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join our Probate & Estate Administration team. This role is ideal for an attorney who is detail-oriented, client-focused, and comfortable guiding families through the estate administration process with clarity and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle all aspects of probate and estate administration matters from inception through completion Prepare and file probate and administration petitions in Surrogate's Court Manage estate assets, including identifying, valuing, and transferring assets Communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries Draft legal documents including petitions, accountings, and related filings Coordinate with financial institutions and other third parties Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case progression The right candidate will: Be admitted to practice in New York Have 3+ years of experience in probate and estate administration required Have strong knowledge of Surrogate's Court procedures Have excellent organizational and time-management skills Have strong written and verbal communication skills have the ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining attention to detail Experience with elder law or estate planning is a plus
