Job Description

Wear Travers Perkins LLC, a boutique transactional law firm located in Vail, Colorado, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. We represent clients across a broad range of real estate, homeowners' association, and business transactional matters. As an Associate, you will work closely with our three Members on high-quality, diverse transactional work and play an integral role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and sophisticated practice in a resort community and develop a mountain real estate and transactional practice! A genuine interest in Colorado's mountain resort communities is strongly preferred. This is a hybrid position with flexibility for the right candidate, including the opportunity to live and work in the mountains. The position will be compensated between $100,000 and $140,000, depending on experience and production, and is eligible for a discretionary generous bonusbased on productivity. We also offer health insurance (available immediately), a Simple IRA plan (after a short waiting period) with up to 3% match, and flexible time off. Key Responsibilities As an Associate Attorney, you will:
  • Manage real estate transactions, including contract review, performing title and related due-diligence, reviewing closing and transactional documents, and facilitating transaction closings
  • Draft a wide range of transactional documents, including contracts, leases, easements, and homeowners' association documents
  • Researching and analyzing complex legal issues
  • Analyzing and summarizing complicated legal documents and suggesting revisions to those documents
  • Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, and real estate and business purchase and sales, financing, etc.
  • Managing the process of each transaction and Informing the supervising lawyer about salient developments
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality and uphold the firm's professional standards
  • Working closely with the firm's Members and fellow employees Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should bring:
  • License to practice law in Colorado
  • Proven experience as an attorney in transactional legal matters, most importantly real estate, and familiarity with related concepts and procedures
  • Familiarity with applicable case and regulatory law
  • Strong ability to understand and follow direction from the Members and effectively execute that direction
  • Exceptional drafting skills, including problem-solving and decision making abilities
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines To succeed in this role, you should bring:
