Summary:
The Managing Attorney will oversee the daily operations, legal strategy, and performance of a high-volume creditor's rights practice, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering exceptional client service. This leadership role includes supervising attorneys and staff, managing litigation and foreclosure matters, developing client relationships, and driving operational efficiency and business growth.Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the creditor's rights practice, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, collections, and related litigation matters. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure productivity, professional development, and adherence to firm standards. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, investor, and client guidelines, including regulatory and ethical requirements. Manage case strategy, litigation oversight, court appearances, and escalation of complex or high-risk matters. Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular communication, reporting, responsiveness, and delivery of high-quality legal services. Monitor workflow, staffing, deadlines, and operational metrics to improve efficiency and case performance. Collaborate with firm leadership on budgeting, staffing, business development, and strategic growth initiatives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to support operational consistency and risk management. Review and approve pleadings, motions, settlement strategies, and legal analyses as needed. Coordinate with courts, trustees, vendors, and opposing counsel to ensure timely resolution of matters. Stay current on changes in creditor's rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and consumer protection laws and communicate developments to the team. Foster a professional, accountable, and client-focused culture within the office and across practice groups. May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals. May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.Experience and Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience motivating and developing legal professionals and staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams. Exceptional organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, particularly in complex or sensitive legal matters. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and strategic guidance. Adaptability and ability to lead through regulatory, operational, and industry changes. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments and practice groups. Extensive knowledge of creditor's rights law, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, collections, and related litigation. Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations affecting creditors' rights practices, including compliance requirements and consumer protection laws. Litigation management experience, including case strategy, motion practice, hearings, and settlement negotiations. Experience managing high-volume legal operations and workflow systems. Proficiency with case management software, legal research platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools. Ability to analyze operational metrics, productivity reports, and financial performance indicators. Experience drafting, reviewing, and approving legal pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence. Knowledge of court procedures, filing systems, and investor or servicer guidelines relevant to creditor representation.Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in creditor's rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or related civil litigation practice. Prior management or supervisory experience leading attorneys and legal support staff in a law firm or corporate legal environment. Demonstrated experience managing high-volume caseloads and meeting strict client and court deadlines. Experience working with mortgage servicers, financial institutions, investors, or creditor clients preferred. Proven track record of operational leadership, client relationship management, and strategic decision-making. Experience with multi-state practice management or regulatory compliance oversight is a plus.Work Schedule:
The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees are required to be onsite 2-3 days per week following a 90-day training period and upon management approval.Salary Range:
The salary for this position typically ranges from $150,000-$170,000 depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.Benefits:
