Job Description

Job Summary An established civil litigation law firm in Winter Park, FL is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation practice on a direct hire, full-time basis. This role is ideal for a litigation attorney who wants to manage complex defense matters, work closely with experienced legal professionals, and build a long-term career within a respected legal environment. The firm offers a collaborative, professional culture with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and meaningful opportunities for advancement. Attorneys in this role can expect challenging litigation work, direct client interaction, and the ability to contribute to strategy on high-impact medical malpractice defense cases. A hybrid schedule may be available after the initial training and onboarding period. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage medical malpractice defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, participate in mediations, and appear in court proceedings.
  • Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with partners, clients, and legal support teams.
  • Maintain organized case files, manage deadlines, and provide consistent client communication.
  • Deliver high-quality legal work while supporting a professional, team-oriented litigation practice. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 annually, based on experience.
